About this Event

Explore the archive collections from Ulster Museum and North Down Museum to create your very own movie poster as part of our Playback Film Festival exploring the theme of nostalgia.

Open to young adults aged 16-26 and based in Northern Ireland.

Local artist Laura Craig will take participants through the basics of collage, composition and colours in this virtual workshop to create a nostalgia themed movie poster using collage, minimalism and vintage effects from a template and images provided.

Laura is a freelance graphic designer, living and working in Belfast. Combining her love of design, music and activism through bold imagery and typography, Laura loves designing for social impact. She has also collaborated with Girls Rock School Northern Ireland, working to empower young girls, women and gender diverse youth through music, art and self-confidence at summer rock camps and music events.

This FREE event takes place online via Zoom. Attendees will receive a link shortly before the session begins.


This event is part of Playback Film Festival: a youth-led virtual film festival hosted on #QFTPlayer from 4 - 6 June 2021, featuring films, workshops and talks programmed, produced and delivered by a group of younger cinema-goers aged 16-26. Made in collaboration with LUMI, Reimagine, Remake, Replay and Zeppo Arts.
