WORKSHOP | Creative @ Home Short Courses (Age 11-14)

Let your voice be heard! Take part in one of our creative workshops where you will learn new skills in animation, digital audio and comic book storytelling

GIF Animation

In this workshop participants will create their very own GIF animations, to express understanding of various cultural and social issues. They will learn about the principles of animation and how the illusion of movement is created. 

For this workshop all your pupils will need at home is the following: mobile phone/tablet or computer with an internet connection to view zoom workshop and access to free website app Brush Ninja.

Date: Monday 22nd March 2pm–3pm

 

Chrome Music Lab 

In this workshop participants will learn how to create their own music to express cultural and social issues using Chrome Music Lab.  All you need is a mobile device and internet connection to access the site: https://musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/ We will learn about melody, rhythm, tempo and timbre in this fun and interactive workshop.

For this workshop, all you will need at home is the following: mobile phone/tablet or computer to view the zoom workshop. Ideally you will have another device to use Chrome Music Lab on, however this is not necessary as they can simply use the device they are viewing the zoom link on.

Date: Wednesday 24th March 2pm–3pm

 

Comic Storytelling 

Participants will learn to create their own comic the old-fashioned way to explore social and cultural issues.  Participants will draw their own pictures and use the topic facts they have learned to create a mini comic book.

For this workshop, all you will need at home is the following: mobile phone/tablet or computer to view zoom workshop, scissors, paper, ruler, pencils, colouring pencils/markers.

Date: Friday 26th March 2pm–3pm
