This exciting new online programme will look at the significance of popular music in Northern Ireland throughout the years and how it has been used as an output for cultural expression. What anthem takes you back to your teenage years?

Take part in this range of creative workshops to explore your own musical memories!

HOW WILL THE PROGRAMME WORK?

- Join Paul Kane from the Oh Yeah Centre as he leads a virtual tour of homegrown musical icons from Ruby Murray to Snow Patrol

BBC Radio Presenter Ralph McLean will discuss the importance of music in our history and share his own personal memories

- Sing along and take part in creative workshops to recreate your own favourite musical memories

- Sessions will be delivered online via Zoom and Slack - all with the support of the Making the Future team

This programme is FREE and open to anyone based in Northern Ireland or border counties. Due to funding stipulations, this programme is only eligible for those who have not taken part in a previous Making the Future programme.

 

The programme will take place on the following dates:

Tuesday 9th March, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Thursday 11th March, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Tuesday 16th March, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Thursday 18th March, 10.30am - 12.30pm

Tuesday 23rd March, 10.30am - 12.30pm
