The Food We Share - The Past & Future of Food in Ulster
A fun look at food from Granny's cooking to Gourmet, with demos from chefs and a chance to make and share your own creations!
From scones to soda bread and the good old Ulster Fry, we love our food in the Northwest! But is Ulster cuisine really just champ and tobacco onions?
The Food We Share is a free online programme that will take a fun look at the role of food in our culture.
How will it work?
- You will take part in 6 fun online sessions all about food.
- Experts from well-known food historian and commentator Máirtín Mac Con Iomaire, to local forager Claire Thompson, and chef and radio star Paula McIntyre, will guide you through a whirlwind history of food in Ulster through chats, demos and fascinating facts.
- You will have the chance to make and share recipes old and new through our private online Slack community.
- Your stories, memories, experiences and recipes will be brought together into a new online resource for all to share.
