Composing with Nature - A Soundscape Workshop
As part of NI Science Festival 2021, Reimagine Remake Replay have put together an exciting free online audio editing and mixing course for 16-25 year olds based in Northern Ireland.
This practical course will give you the opportunity to use sound creatively whilst exploring natural sounds from our environment.
During this course you will learn the audio editing, effects and mixing techniques you need to create your own composition using recordings from online archives. You will also develop listening skills and learn about the sonic environment and soundscape composition.
You will have the chance to create a composition that enhances and creates a new context for the audio and upon completion, you will be awarded with a digital badge to showcase the skills you’ve gained.

Unlocking Our Sound Heritage is an ambitious project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and led by the British Library. National Museums NI is the hub for Northern Ireland. Over three years they will digitise 5,000 physical sound items which will be used for learning and outreach activities.
