Creative community festival celebrating cultural diversity

Come along to North Down Museum to experience a range of unique multicultural activities, entertainment, family friendly activities and workshops, and international cuisine!  As part of Ards and North Down Borough Council’s PEACE IV: Celebration of our Minority Communities programme, this creative community festival to celebrates the Borough’s cultural diversity. 

Highlights include:

- Chinese Lion Dance Performance
- Japanese Liado Martial Arts
- Karate demonstrations
- Belly Dancing Performance
- Brazillian Dance Performance
- Henna Body art
- Chinese Watercolour Demonstrations
- Lantern making workshops
- Ikebana: Japanese flower arranging

During this festival, the Museum will also be re-launching the Sir John Newell Jordan collection with a newly designed permanent exhibition space, this collection includes many significant Chinese, Korean and Japanese artefacts.

Lantern Making workshops are available on a first come first served basis at 11am, 12 Noon, 1pm and 2pm or book your space in your preferred time slot in advance here
