10 short films made by a group of visually impaired participants during lockdown to launch on April 29.

Join us for a very special event as we launch 'Every Day is a School Day' – a series of 10 shorts made during lockdown by first-time filmmakers with varying degrees of sight loss.

The programme was delivered by the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) and Nerve Centre, in partnership with The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

The films were produced following several workshops which included a virtual tour of PRONI’s archives and filmmaking skills with advocate and visually impaired YouTuber Holly Scott-Gardner. Each participant was then challenged to make a short film that reflected their personal experiences with education.

During the launch event you can expect to hear from some of the first-time filmmakers themselves, the team behind the programme and a preview screening of the films.

This event will take place on Zoom and the link will be sent to everyone registered before the beginning of the event. For more details, or to discuss any access requirements, please contact Laura Aguiar: l.aguiar@nervecentre.org
