Nerve Centre is leading the delivery of Our Place in Space, the Northern Ireland commission as part of Festival UK* 2022, and is seeking a Senior Producer and a Finance and Operations Manager to join the team.

Nerve Centre is leading the delivery of Our Place in Space, the Northern Ireland commission as part of Festival UK* 2022, in partnership with artists Oliver Jeffers and Die Hexen, National Museums NI, Astrophysics Research Centre at Queen's University Belfast, Big Motive, Microsoft, Taunt and the Northern Ireland Science Festival.

Our Place in Space is a unique experiment in astrophysics, augmented reality, landscape, visual art and play, asking what happens to your perspective on everything when you look back at earth from space.

We are now recruiting for two key posts to join the team: Senior Producer and Finance & Operations Manager.

Senior Producer, £32,000–£38,000

The Senior Producer will be a highly motivated and creative producer who will support the delivery of this large-scale project. The role works in close collaboration with the Executive Producer and production team to manage the creative and practical logistics of delivering such a large and collaborative event.

This is a crucial role overseeing creative, production and resource management and policy implementation. This project involves working across Northern Ireland, in multiple locations and with various team members, freelancers and contractors.

The Senior Producer will be a proactive, solution-driven, organised individual who is confident managing teams and meeting multiple deadlines. You will be comfortable with both hands-on delivery and delegation, will bring an extensive knowledge of producing complex projects for diverse audiences and with a range of partners, and have a strong commitment to creating accessible art in the public realm.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Our Place in Space team to deliver a mass participation project of scale.

Finance & Operations Manager, £32,000–£35,000

The Finance & Operations Manager will join the Nerve Centre Finance department. We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual who will fit within the Nerve Centre’s ethos and culture and will support the delivery of the Festival 2022 project.

The role works in close collaboration with the Executive Producer and Nerve Centre Financial Manager to look after financial management and operations of the Festival 2022 project within the Nerve Centre structure. This project involves working across Northern Ireland, in multiple locations and with various stakeholders.

This is a crucial role overseeing budgets, delivery, personnel management and policy implementation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Our Place in Space team to deliver a mass participation project of scale.
