Resonate Music Video Contest
Now we are offering local bands and musicians the chance to win £1,000 worth of music vouchers and an exclusive slot on the 'Resonate' Album of the Year. Prize sponsorship for the Music Video Contest has been provided by the National Lottery and Henderson Music, one of Ireland's leading suppliers of musical instruments.

Bands, solo musicians and electronic producers / DJs were invited to take over the Nerve Centre's venue for a week for a unique collaboration and musical mash up. Crossover Sessions in association with Blast Furnace Recording Studio, saw different production teams and sets of musicians meet up to exchange musical ideas and collaborate on a set of recordings, with the opportunity for the public to drop in and see behind the scenes as they work.
Making Kathleen a First Time Recording Star at the Age of 73
Sprightly 73-year-old Kathleen Tracey from the Waterside had never recorded a song in her life but was determined to leave something for her children to remember her by. So with some trepidation Kathleen ventured into one of the Nerve Centre's free recording sessions as part of Resonate. In just two takes and without a backing track, Kathleen, who has had no formal music training, nailed a poignant version of 'Noreen Bawn'.
Record Store Day at Cool Discs
Born in the USA in 2007, Record Store Day celebrates independent local record shops across the globe. Since then, it has grown to be the most anticipated day to visit your local participating record store. As Derry~Londonderry’s only independent record store, Cool Discs hosted a special day with live performances from local musicians.
Music City! seen Derry~Londonderry transform into one giant performance space with hundreds of free musical performances across the streets, squares, neighbourhoods, venues, churches, offices and workplaces.
City of Derry Jazz & Big Band Festival
The 12th City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival welcomed over 35,000 music lovers in Derry~Londonderry over the May Bank Holiday weekend with some of the biggest stars and newest names on the jazz scene.

The 'Small but Massive' music festival returns to Castle Rock with performances from the best in NI talent in an expanded two day festival across the weekend of July 19 – 21. Six of the acts playing the final ever Glasgowbury festival have teamed up for three unique collaborations as part of the Resonate project.
