See Out The Year With The Whole Family at Nerve Centre

Family films usually mean nights in crowded around the TV, but Foyle Flm Festival’s lastest run of cinema screenings at the Nerve Centre will have your household scrambling for the front door.

The programme kicks-off on Monday, December 8 with a five day series of family Sci-Fi screenings as part of the BFI and Film Hub NI’s, Sci-Fi: Days of Fear and Wonder season, presented together with O2.

Amongst its highlights are the alien adventure Earth to Echo, described as this generation’s E.T., while from Marvel producer Avi Arad comes action animation Robosapien: Rebooted. Phoebe In Wonderland then takes viewers down the rabbit hole with a modern day twist on the classic fantasy tale.

The following Monday (December 15) families will have the chance to get into the holiday spirit with a weeks worth of animated festive features ranging from hall-decking double bills of seasonal spins on Madagascar, Ice Age and Shrek to Mumfie’s White Christmas, a classic Christmas adventure from the award-winning creator of Thomas & Friends. Kids can also enjoy complimentary popcorn with a selection of these screenings.

Foyle Film Festival will also launch a new collaboration in support of The Playtrail with a sponsored screening of The Snow Queen, the dazzling story that inspired Frozen, on December 14. To book contact 028 7136 8173.
