Peace Mix at the Nerve Centre

Peace Mix at the Nerve Centre

Peace Mix are coming to the Nerve Centre to host this most prestigious youth music event on August 8, 2012.

Calling all street poets, songwriters, vocal divas and virtuosos: Peace Mix needs you! Our mission: to spread a message of harmony using the most powerful universal language – music!

Peace mix need you to create lyrics, rhymes, remixes or melodies to join the their groundbreaking, crowd-sourced collaboration track. The best will be used to create a one of a kind song to be performed at the Roundhouse finale event.

Peace Mix was inspired by the story of the New Day Foundation (NDF), a collective led by reformed ex-gang member Sharif Cousins, brought together under the same vision to positively change their troubled community – through music and live events. NDF then hooked up with BIG due to a shared ambition to give young people across the UK a voice and opportunity to discover and use local music spaces.

Join Peace Mix and you too can become an ambassador for peace, encouraging harmony, regardless of age, background or taste, in your local community and beyond. Will you get among the mix?

If you wish to be in the audience, provide some creativity on the track, sit in on the industry networking sessions or get more info you can contact Martin McGill at m.mcgill@nervecentre.org or check out the Peace Mix website at www.peacemix.co.uk
