Open Call For Nerve Centre Musician in Residence 2016 - 2017

The Nerve Centre in partnership with Arts Council Northern Ireland is seeking a talented and dynamic Musician-in-Residence for a creative collaboration with musicians, songwriters, bands and producers in Derry~Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

In this open call the Nerve Centre would like to identify a Musician-in-Residence from a folk/urban/pop/rock background with the ability to compose, produce, arrange, write lyrics and be open to collaborative development of young talent and more experienced artists.

The successful musician will come from a background in songwriting/arranging and extensive international performance who wants to create new music during their residency and who is also willing to collaborate with local musicians, songwriters, bands and producers to assist them in creating new music.

Pearse Moore, Chief Executive, said: ‘The Nerve Centre’s primary aim is to encourage artistic creation and develop the burgeoning music community in Derry~Londonderry. We want to make great work and to partner with an experienced musician who will provide participation and creative opportunities for local musicians.

'We are seeking a musician who will have a high degree of success in their own professional career who is open to collaborative development of young talent and local emerging artists.'

Nerve Centre aims to schedule the residency to start in the summer of 2016.
