Culture Night at the Nerve Centre

Culture Night at the Nerve Centre

The Nerve Centre invites you over for a full day of film, comedy, music, and cutting edge (literally) digital technology, as part of Culture Night…

Start with our Open House Event, grab an iPad and take part in an interactive demo of the Nerve Centre’s groundbreaking education programme. Browse a century of moving images from Northern Ireland and the north west in our digital film archives. Meet Nerve Centre tutors and find out about our latest creative opportunities.

Call into our Fab Lab / Art Take Part Mash Up event for demonstations and opportunities to take part. Fab Lab is a high tech fabrication laboratory in which anything (and we mean anything) can be designed and built. Check out the Lab and customise art accessories created by Art Take Part-ers using the latest fabrication tools.

The Nerve Centre Cinema is screening two free films, starting with The Boys of St Columb’s, a documentary about eight remarkable men who attended the same school in the 1950s. This will be followed by a Comedy Screening With Live Stand-up from comedian Peter E Davidson and friends and a screening of the modern classic City of God, the sweeping tale of how crime affects the poor.

End your Culture Night with Nerve Centre Music in Cafe Nervosa, featuring some of the city’s talented musicians who have benefitted from the Nerve Centre’s music initiatives. Exclusive acoustic sets, followed by DJs. Complimentary refreshments.
