Culture Night: Comedy Screening & Stand-up

Fri 21 Sep
7:00pm to 8:00pm

Helping to get your Culture Night celebrations off on the right foot and a strong laugh, the Nerve Centre will be presenting an hour of top local comics offering a mix of live stand up, songs, video sketches and flying meat products* (* a long story that will make sense on the night).

Your MC for the evening will be local comic and writer Peter E Davidson. A regular at Masons comedy club Peter has in the past written comedy for BBC NI, Radio Ulster, Radio 7 and Radio 4. As founder member of Derry~Londonderry sketch group Love the Concept he has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and also opened for the likes of Jeremy Hardy, Kevin McAleer, David O’Doherty and Phil Nicholl. He’ll have the audience shrieking and laughing and wlel bribed with Jaffa Cakes.

The bill also includes a chance to catch the Craic Attack all Ireland comedy competition finalist Bobby Best as well as the Chewbacca-esque troubadour of love that is Ray McCrossan. Joining the line up as well we are privileged to welcome Claudy funny man extraordinaire Fintan Harvey .

Rudolpho the Clown will also make a return to the stage after wowing and equally disturbing the audience at the recent Search Party launch night. He is certainly an act not to forget or to possible seek post traumatic stress help for afterwards.

The night will be mixed with great jokes, fantastic oddness and a screening of some exclusive video sketches from Love the Concept vault.

Come along for an hour of the best comedy at the best price and have a great giggle on Culture Night.
